Magnesium phosphate is a general term for salts of magnesium and phosphate appearing in three forms:

Magnesium phosphate (Mg(H2PO4)2) or Magnesium phosphate monobasic
Dimagnesium phosphate (MgHPO4) or Magnesium phosphate dibasic
Magnesium phosphate tribasic (Mg3(PO4)2) or Magnesium phosphate tribasic

Various forms have been used as laxatives and antacids. Magnesium phosphate dibasic and tribasic are listed on the FDA's Generally recognized as safe, or GRAS, list of substances.

4. First Aid Measures

Inhalation: Allow the victim to rest in a well ventilated area. Seek immediate medical attention.
Ingestion: If large amounts were swallowed, give water to drink and get medical advice.
Skin Contact: In case of contact, immediately wash skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes.
Eye Contact: Check for and remove any contact lenses. Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open. Do not use an eye ointment. Seek medical attention.
